Katie is an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech-language pathologist, licensed with the Rhode Island Department of Health.

She graduated with her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Rhode Island and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Art from Rhode Island College.

Katie has been practicing as a pediatric speech-language pathologist in the RI public school system in 2015 and has since concurrently practiced in a private practice setting as well.

As a patient, enthusiastic, and compassionate speech-language pathologist, Katie enjoys individualizing her therapy approach to each child.

She applies her creative background in art with her understanding of psychology to effortlessly create a welcoming client-centered connection with a diverse group of children with differing and/or co-occurring disabilities, personalities, and emotional needs.

Katie places great importance on developing a fun and comforting rapport with her clients in order to foster a trusting relationship that will grow and support the most success!

Katie specializes in working with children with various diagnoses such as; Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Dyslexia, Anxiety Disorders, and ADHD to name a few.

Katie has over 7-years of experience treating many speech and language disorders such as; Phonological Disorders, Articulation Disorders, Social Pragmatic Language/Social Thinking Disorders, Receptive and/or Expressive Language Disorders, Reading/Written Language Disorders, and Auditory Processing Disorders in the private and public school setting.

Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and son, relaxing at the beach, painting and drawing. She is also a Providence College Friars basketball fan who loves to attend the games with her family.
